Wildlands is our family-run, Eco-accommodation and Wildlife Haven in the heart of Suffolk. Bordered by the Rivers Kent and Deben, the site is a unique mosaic of meadows, woods, and wetland habitats. Just as the Wildlands thrives in quieter waterways, so we invite you to be restored by the rare tranquillity of our river-edged land. Matthew, Claire, Ralph and George (the dog)
An ecological philosophy guides our family-run enterprise. At the highest point in the land, we offer a wide range of places for people to stay in amongst fields that are transforming, year-by-year, as insects, wildflowers and animal life return to the land. On the productive fields of our land, we are introducing regenerative approaches, such as woodland grazing and organic horticulture. Alongside, 40 acres is cared for as a Wildlife Haven. Here, we invest income from visiting guests into the care of diverse habitats, including special areas for endangered species. Weaving across the site are woodland walks, spaces for adventurous play and our places to experience our seasonal program of local food and art events.
There is a lovely pub in walking distance The Cretingham Bell and lots of things to do in our immediate area such as visiting the stomping ground of Framlingham, home to the Castle on the Hill as described by Ed Sheeran. We are 25 minutes from the Coastal towns of Aldeburgh and the picturesque town of Woodbridge.
